EdJAM Children Series

Funded by UK Research and Innovation, Global Challenges Research Funding Collective Programme

The EdJAM Children’s Series is a collection of illustrated zines that highlight historical and contemporary narratives missing from textbooks in Pakistan.

They are designed for children, helping parents and teachers talk about topics related to identity(s), rights and the environment. EDJam’s stance was to bridge the gap between storytelling and art and to provide books that could be accessible to schools in rural and urban areas.

The project contained 11 stories (3 illustrated by Rida) that have been translated into 4 languages spoken across Pakistan.
